<p>On 24th of June, I gave my presentation on stilt house, this was my first project from our school which our class had to present before our class teacher Anamika ma&#8217;am.</p>
<div id="attachment_81" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://www.aaravvishen.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/21062010765.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-81" title="21062010765" src="http://www.aaravvishen.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/21062010765-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Front of the house</p></div>
<div id="attachment_83" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://www.aaravvishen.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/21062010767.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-83 " title="21062010767" src="http://www.aaravvishen.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/21062010767-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Back end</p></div>
<p>I thought to give my presentation on stilt houses, my mumma had been in Arunachal Pradesh during her childhood and school days, she suggested me to attempt my project on Ekum, which means house, a kind of stilt house, in which local people of Arunachal Pradesh lives in. I with help of my daddy and mumma made a model of Ekum, with the help of thermocol sheets, laminates, card paper, tooth pick, ice cream sticks and paint. For more natural look I put some natural plants and small animals made or rubber and plastic.<span id="more-77"></span> I am going to share the content which was my speech during my presentation.</p>
<p><strong>1&gt;<span style="font-weight: normal;">Ekum means House in tribal language in Arunachal Pradesh.</span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-weight: normal;"> <strong>2&gt;</strong> These kinds of houses are specially found in Arunachal Pradesh. </span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-weight: normal;"> <strong>3&gt;</strong> Tribal’s of Arunachal Pradesh lives in Ekum. </span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-weight: normal;"> <strong>4&gt;</strong> These houses are made of wood, bamboo and leaves. </span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-weight: normal;"> <strong>5&gt; </strong>The floor of the houses is made of bamboo sticks which are very neatly woven together.</span></strong></p>
<div id="attachment_80" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://www.aaravvishen.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/21062010768.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-80 " title="21062010768" src="http://www.aaravvishen.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/21062010768-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Top View</p></div>
<div id="attachment_82" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://www.aaravvishen.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/21062010766.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-82" title="21062010766" src="http://www.aaravvishen.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/21062010766-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Front end</p></div>
<p><strong>6&gt;<span style="font-weight: normal;">The outer and inner walls are made of wood.</span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-weight: normal;"> <strong>7&gt;</strong> And the roof is made of large numbers of leaves. </span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-weight: normal;"><strong> </strong> <strong>8&gt;</strong> The roof is made in an inclined way so that rain water can not fall down on the wall. </span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-weight: normal;"> <strong> </strong> <strong>9&gt;</strong> These houses are always made on the wooden pillars. </span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-weight: normal;"> <strong>10&gt;</strong> We can see a 3 -5 feet gap between the ground and the house. </span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-weight: normal;"> <strong>11&gt;</strong> Animals like pig and hen live under the empty space in between the ground and house. </span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-weight: normal;"><strong> </strong> <strong>12&gt;</strong> Their kitchen is very different, they make a cemented square shape small platform on the floor to burn fire. </span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-weight: normal;"><strong> </strong> <strong>13&gt;</strong> And they make a “Chang” just above the fire where they can dry fishes and mutton with the smoke. </span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-weight: normal;"> <strong>14&gt;</strong> Chang is a tribal word, which means one kind of a mat made of bamboo sticks woven neatly together. Hope you like my presentation&#8230;&#8230;&#8230; Thanks and love&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;. its me</span></strong></p>
