On 24th of June, I gave my presentation on stilt house, this was my first project from our school which our class had to present before our class teacher Anamika ma’am.

I thought to give my presentation on stilt houses, my mumma had been in Arunachal Pradesh during her childhood and school days, she suggested me to attempt my project on Ekum, which means house, a kind of stilt house, in which local people of Arunachal Pradesh lives in. I with help of my daddy and mumma made a model of Ekum, with the help of thermocol sheets, laminates, card paper, tooth pick, ice cream sticks and paint. For more natural look I put some natural plants and small animals made or rubber and plastic. I am going to share the content which was my speech during my presentation.

1>Ekum means House in tribal language in Arunachal Pradesh.

2> These kinds of houses are specially found in Arunachal Pradesh.

3> Tribal’s of Arunachal Pradesh lives in Ekum.

4> These houses are made of wood, bamboo and leaves.

5> The floor of the houses is made of bamboo sticks which are very neatly woven together.

6>The outer and inner walls are made of wood.

7> And the roof is made of large numbers of leaves.

8> The roof is made in an inclined way so that rain water can not fall down on the wall.

9> These houses are always made on the wooden pillars.

10> We can see a 3 -5 feet gap between the ground and the house.

11> Animals like pig and hen live under the empty space in between the ground and house.

12> Their kitchen is very different, they make a cemented square shape small platform on the floor to burn fire.

13> And they make a “Chang” just above the fire where they can dry fishes and mutton with the smoke.

14> Chang is a tribal word, which means one kind of a mat made of bamboo sticks woven neatly together. Hope you like my presentation……… Thanks and love………. its me

Today was a nice day…. But I was also tensed for my swimming class…. In school, today my ma’am taught about genders in our class .

Today, my mamma bought many things for my school activities…..

In the evening, I went to my swimming class, I was so scared to go in to the deep water but I went someway I went in to the water and I did very good, I was swimming in the deep water without anyone’s help. But I was crying also……….I was having phobia to enter in the water…but mamma forced me to go for swimming…….finally I was happy as I have done my swimming well and without any fear.

There was a poem writing competition in my school on 6th March 2010, I wrote this poem by myself for this competition.
I am going to put in my website, this is the first poem of mine, and I am very happy to share it on my website…….

Moon Comes In My Eyes

Moon Shines in  the sky
Moon comes in my eyes

Moon gives us light
We went to night out in your moonlight

We eat, we play, we sleep in your light
Moon, why do you come in the night?

Like you, we also play hide and seek
And when you go we feel sick…

First I will start to write about Limestone:

Limestone

• Limestone is a sedimentary rock.
• It is composed of Calcium carbonate.
• Limestone is an important stone for architecture.
• Limestone is a key ingredient of cement, and concrete.
• Limestone is very reactive to acids.

1) Where it is found?

• Limestone is found throughout the world in rocks which were deposited in shallow, warm, marine water, oceans and sea.

2) What it is used for?

• Limestone is very commonly used in architecture.
• Cement
• It is added to paper, plastics, paint, tiles, and other materials as both white pigment and filler.
• It is used Toothpaste.
• Added to bread and cereals as a source of calcium

3) What does it look like?

• Limestone is commonly light colored; usually it is tan or gray.
• Limestone is found in every color.
• The color of limestone varies due to impurities such as sand, clay, iron oxides and hydroxides, and organic materials.

4) World Famous Monuments

• The Great Pyramid of Giza.- the structure is made entirely from limestone.
• Courthouse in Manhattan, Kansas

This is a flower vase that he colored with lots of colors and is really looking pretty cool. Shades here are very different but still looking beautiful to me, may be I am his mom that’s why …hey what do you say? Any comment!!!!

Here is the first picture that he colored very nicely and for which he himself feel very happy and always compare his other work and use to ask me Mumma this is more better na….you like it most naa…..

He is heart throb of mine. Right now he is 5 years old so to update this blog is bit impossible for him as he prefer Cartoon Network better than Internet and online stuffs.

I love his coloring, mostly he uses almost very different and uncommon shades in his coloring, which make his coloring unique and attractive and I want his coloring to be shared in this blog of his.

I heartily wish he should update this blog as soon as he can. By the way till then I will try to write about him in Aarav Vishen.com
